Oh May gray makes me sleepy, the ride in this morning was nice, but a little chilly.
Interesting is the fact that I have almost no memories of coming in, just sort of a cold, gray get on with it kind of ride. oh well still beats sitting in a metal box for 30 minutes!

RANT!!
So jetzt hole ich mal gaaaaaanz weit aus!!!
How dare you go in like that Kevin Prince Boateng! What are you making up for missing football qualities with bad tackling? No chance to get the ball and no chance to play for Germany.
If I don't hear about you again it will be soon enough, and don't you dare try to come back to the Bundesliga, stay up north at one of those in debt relegated clubs.
Also don't look for friends during the Germany vs. Ghana match next month. Best stay benched or look for a "lucrative" transfer into Gaelic football. Period!

Rivendell Bicycles
Although not all sex appeal, these bicycles are serious country beauties so to speak. Lovingly crafted and styled by people who absolutely love bicycles and commuting on them.
Rivendell cycles just look comfortable and inviting to me. They might not be the very fastest bikes on the road, but I think they will guarantee that you arrive at your destination with a big smile on your face. Every time!
So take it in, maybe some day you will be a lucky owner of one of these.

Bueno Bag
I admitt, I was a little sceptical when I first saw the bag. But the more I use it, the more I absolutely love it. It is very well designed and fits perfectly on my back.
The chrome messenger bag is by far the most comfortable backpack or bag I have used on my bike, fits everything I need and has some extra room for some might needs as well.
Thanks to the excellent people that gave me this beautiful gift... Esther, Kris and Ellen!
It's perfect!!
Accidents suck!!!!!!!
Isn't it ironic? Two weeks after I sell my car we get rear ended in Esthers car and are rendered car less – for a day or two. (Rentals are nice) just one of those things, coming home from a Chinese funeral, Esthers parents were concerned about bad spirits following us home from the cemetary—
Before we got home and were able to step over the customary fire border (to shake off the spirits), we were involved in an accident. Interpret it as you will, but some superstitions are not too far fetched.

Pegoretti not for the faint of eye
These beautiful frames might not be every bodies cup of tea, but I think they are beautiful.
I don't want to see the manufacturers name on 15 parts of the bike in company color only etc.
Hand painted by local artists in Italy Dario Pegoretti hand makes these excellent bikes. They are made of the best steel tubing available and considered rare pieces. Maybe someday I'll manage to ride one, but for now I am happy to admire them from afar.

Why I don't ride a fixed gear bike
I admit, I have always been attracted by the look of a fixie, so sleek and simple, easy to maintain, quiet and zen. BUT ;) freewheeling down a big hill, taking in your surroundings and taking a deep breath before trying to catch up with your speed is too much to give up for me. Therefore I will keep adjusting my gears and greasing my freewheeling, fun, speedy and just right complicated road bike.
And if I ever want to hang a bike on my wall for some oohs and aahs, I'll save the fixie for that.
