WINDY WINDY WINDY
And it was windy, I got to work looking like a junkie, red in the face and bleary eyed. But the ride was great overall and I am now enjoying a well deserved muffin.
I realized it is good to start the day with a little adventure and exercise, because you feel a sense of accomplishment and that starts the day of right!
So non je ne regrette rien!!

Defense wins championships!
Mia San Mia
Well, normally I like to cheer against Bayern in the Bundesliga, but when it comes to playing european competition I generally like the Bavarians. This season I wasn't sure what to do, not a big fan of LvG I was a little sour because of the Klinsmann sacking...
But long story short, at this point I can only say: "Boah wie geil ist das denn!" Doing what they did, and doing it with a lot of young players from their youth system is impressive and the way it should be done.
Also, Ivica Olic has got to be one of the most exciting players. Always runs, never gives up and almost always scores when they need him to.
Also Pack Ma's!!

Rant
I realize that in competitive cycling weight matters. But spending 65 dollars on a carbon fiber water bottle cage seems excessive to me.
Cycling today has become more of a high tech carbon fiber fair then actual competition between the athletes. What happened to the days where strong men like Bernard Hinault settled in, pushed a big gear and through willpower and testosterone (hopefully their own ;)) won a race by sprinting over the finish line in Paris not because they needed the win on the final stage, but because they made a statement that said: "I am the strongest rider and I deserve to win"
I have a lot of respect for any stage, mountain or overall winner, but if you want to be considered the best, riding safely in the pack and bringing your 3 second advantage into the finish is not going to be good enough.
So ditch the 300 dollar special aerodynamic glasses and get back to the real racing, pick a gear, wear down your opponents and sprint for the finish.
That's just my opinion I guess, but I still like steel bikes, down tube shifters and intimidating stares.
Cheers, Mario
